|Abstract:||Anglers are wary of catfish as their sharp fin spines may cause injury and, in some species, envenomation. We describe another complication of catfish spine injury--septic arthritis caused by Edwardsiella tarda. We believe this is the first report of this organism causing septic arthritis.|
