Abstract: The Women's Needs Survey was established in May 1986 with three main aims. These were to identity women's needs for alcohol and other drug services including education, treatment and rehabilitation; to identity gaps in the services currently available; and to make recommendations regarding services which should be available utilising existing resources where possible.
