Title: Consultancy to determine the most appropriate use of the Tamarind site at Parap analysis of population and demographic data for Darwin
Authors: Territory Health Services
Issue Date: Oct-1997
Publisher: KPMG Management Consulting
Abstract: This report discusses area demographics and projections for population growth for the respective catchment areas for these services over the next ten years. This analysis will be used as a basis for identifying the future health, welfare, mental health and dental facility requirements of Darwin; specifically • DCCC Catchment Area (Darwin Southern Suburbs, Coconut Grove and Nightcliff; • Outpatient Mental Health (the Darwin Urban area); and • Dental Service ( Southern Suburbs). The analysis can then be used as the basis for determining the feasibility of co-locating the required facilities at the proposed site in Parap.
