Authors: Department of Health and Community Services
Issue Date: 1994
Publisher: Department of Health and Community Services
Abstract: The Charter is produced jointly by the Northern Territory and Commonwealth to provide people with information about public hospital services. Providing better information for health care consumers is a major commitment in the Commonwealth/Northern Territory Medicare Agreement. The aim of this booklet is to provide straightforward information on what public patients can expect from the public hospital system, such as: • how people are admitted and discharged. • the charges which will apply. • how public patients can lodge a complaint if they are unhappy about the way they are treated in hospital.
