Abstract: The intention of the changes is to enhance the quality and responsiveness of the services provided by the Territory’s public health and hospital system. This will be achieved by empowering service providers to be in control of and responsible for the services they provide and refocussing the Department of Health to a more traditional policy, system planning and governance role.
Description: The Service Framework is designed to ncourage innovation and initiative across the regions that meet the regional specific needs. It will be supported by a systemwide quality and safety, policy and service provision structure. More information may be found at http://www.health.nt.gov.au/New_Service_Framework
