|Abstract:||The following recipes resulted from a competition conducted by the Department of Health and Community Services Nutrition and Physical Activity Unit. Contestants from Aboriginal communities were asked to send in a variety of recipes that would promote healthy eating in their community. Recipes needed to be: • Low in fat • Low in salt • High in vegetables and/or fruit • Tasty • Made from readily available ingredients • Relatively easy to make, and • Use readily available equipment. This book is a compilation of those recipes.|
